the country house used simon harcourt, 1st viscount harcourt. when major percy henry guy feilden , wife, dorothy louisa brand, moved there in 1908, undertook extensive renovations. died on 25 march 1944, , buried there. son, major-general randle guy feilden, later knighted, successor. in 1957, let part of grounds francis brown, opened school secondary boys boarding school 14 pupils. in 1960 yarnton manor used dormitory of school. in 1963 charitable trust formed, , in 1966 school buildings , grounds sold school trustees.

the school joint church of england , roman catholic foundation. chapel on golf course in school grounds. former parish church of hardwick, , restored , extended in 1973.


in 1985 roof of north-west wing studied while building being repaired. in 1986 work began on construction of further buildings. school started admitting girls in 1992 , opened junior school in 1994. boarding facility closed in 2003.
