a manorite s week day begins @ 6 am. students spend 1 hour 7 am in morning studies. study session followed breakfast. entire school assembles in front of classrooms morning assembly, principal addresses students, announcements made, awards given out, , after prayers, classes begin @ 9 :00 am.


classes run 9 am till 11 am, there short break of 20 min. lunch @ 12:30 pm. classes run till 3:30 pm followed tea. after classes, there mandatory run every student around surrounding hill, called fox hill runs . runs followed sports.


dinner @ 6:30 pm. dinner followed night studies , 2 hours of compulsory self-study sessions in classrooms. night studies followed half hour of television when students can catch latest news headlines or sports updates. lights go out @ 10 pm.


every month, students 1 sunday outing day, when permitted visit mussoorie day. each student given pocket money day, of students spend on food, video games, stationery , occasional movie.


st. george s college house system encompasses sports, athletics, debates, dramatics, cultural events, declamations , other extra-curricular activities. 4 houses tapsells (blue), marthins (yellow), gateleys (red) , cullens (green), named after 4 former olympians school.


each event assigned points , house largest amount of accumulated points @ end of sports day in october wins annual house shield.


in august, st. george s hosts brother masterson , brother bergin inter-school english debates in junior , senior categories respectively. in july/august, school hosts annual jackie memorial football tournament, regional competition.


a majority of students indians, school has sizeable percentage of nri s , students nepal, thailand , others. proximity jolly grant airport in dehradun 53 km away has led increase in non resident indian students.
