on july 12, 2015, 2 women dressed in religious garments blew in fotokol, killing 13 people. following attacks, since july 16, cameroon banned wearing of full-face islamic veils, including burqa, in far north region. governor midjiyawa bakari of muslim region said measure prevent further attacks.

following double suicide bombing on june 15, 2015, killed 33 people in n djamena, chadian government announced on june 17, 2015, banning of wearing of burqa in territory security reasons

the full-face islamic veil banned in may 2015 in public places in congo-brazzaville, counter terrorism , although there has not been islamist attack in country.

on july 15, 2015, gabon announced ban on wearing of full-face veils in public , places of work. christian country said prompted because of attacks in cameroon.
