the story begins in medias res joker has managed poison commissioner gordon , crouched on appears bloody , beaten batman. joker gloats on victory, beaten batman pulls out handgun , manages shoot joker in face. @ moment, real batman appears , captures joker, throwing him dumpster. when later visits recovering gordon in hospital, learns in short time in gotham, has managed rid city of supercrime.


in batcave, alfred tells batman has been focused on war on crime has started lose touch bruce wayne identity. robin states believes vacation away gotham beneficial, batman decides attend charity event @ london pop art museum can spend time rejuvenating playboy bruce wayne identity. although troubled quick meeting dr. kirk langstrom, former man-bat, attends party talking myriad of women. 1 woman intrigues him millionaire jezebel jet, former supermodel , newly named leader of small african country. chat while before claims not want 1 of bruce wayne s conquests.

batman , damian return gotham city dark knight introduces son batcave, alfred, , adopted son, tim. damian hostile towards tim, believes alone batman s son , rightful heir. petulant attitude gets him locked in 1 of wayne manor s many rooms, escapes. later, tim searching alfred (who has been locked in room damian) in batcave when comes across damian, armed sword batman had taken him. suspicious, tim tries befriend damian when younger child reveals went out , beheaded criminal known spook, , placed grenade in mouth. shocked, tim yells @ damian killing not way. damian responds tossing head in air, explodes when hits ground. 2 spar until tim helps damian off snapping tyrannosaurus jaws. damian punches out tim , takes jason todd s displayed robin costume him. later, bat-signal lit , batman finds damian wearing costume. batman asks how got out of batcave without being seen , asks s done tim.


back @ cave, batman cares tim , reluctantly agrees take damian him stop talia , save british prime minister s wife, when damian reveals has worked out talia wishes trade hostage control on gibraltar. batman wants keep damian under control, realized talia sent him batman cause havoc in life. 2 reach gibraltar confront talia. damian appeals both of them wants them family, britain s royal navy bomb ship on fighting. batman escapes, while talia , damian vanish in explosion.
