in 2011, togo announced start of retirement tour part of returned united states in april take part in chikara s 2011 king of trios tournament, team great sasuke , jinsei shinzaki team michinoku pro. on april 15, team michinoku pro defeated team minnesota (1-2-3 kid, arik cannon , darin corbin) in first round match , followed defeating jigsaw, manami toyota , mike quackenbush in following day s quarterfinals. on april 17, team michinoku pro eliminated tournament in semifinal stage f.i.s.t. (chuck taylor, icarus , johnny gargano).


ddt held dick togo japanese retirement show @ korakuen hall in tokyo on june 30, 2011. in main event togo defeated gedo in final match in japan. afterwards embarked on retirement world tour, wrestling in countries such australia, finland, germany, belgium, england, spain, , italy. on december 3, togo returned united states final leg of tour, losing kudo in three-way match, included masahiro takanashi @ combat zone wrestling s (czw) indie summit event. on december 10, togo wrestled pro wrestling guerrilla (pwg) in reseda, los angeles, losing pwg world champion el generico in non-title match. on january 1, 2012, togo returned mexico, wrestling @ independent event in ciudad nezahualcóyotl, he, el alebrije , el hijo de dr. wagner, jr. defeated golden bull, histeria ii , puma in six-man tag team match. following july, togo took retirement tour bolivia. while working in bolivia, togo found way ddt storyline, when yuki sato arrived in country ironman heavymetalweight championship, proceeded lose togo. during following week, togo first lost title local wrestler ajayu, before regaining bolivian child , losing sato. togo finished retirement tour on september 9, 2012, in la paz, bolivia. in final match of career, togo teamed antonio honda, daisuke sasaki , yasu urano in eight-man elimination tag team match, defeated ajayu, apocalipsis, guerrero ayar , halcon dorado, ajayu pinning togo win.


on may 29, 2015, togo announced opening wrestling school in vietnam, named vietnam pro-wrestling academy. school affiliated vietnam s first professional wrestling promotion, new vietnam prowrestling (nvp), held first event in august 2015.


on june 5, 2016, togo announced coming out of retirement. return match took place @ ddt show on july 3.


on december 10, 2016, togo competed in main event of evolve wrestling s evolve 74 show, defeating chris hero.
