the third version of game began on september 17, 2013. first multi-state lucky life, first prize $1000-per-day-for-life (split multiple winners); current game has second prize of $25,000-per-year-for-life. first time, winner of lifetime (first- or second- prize) has option of choosing cash.


the current version, began on january 27, 2015, offered 22 lotteries plus district of columbia. players choose 5 of 48 white balls, , lucky ball 18 green balls in second machine.


mega millions

maine joined mega millions on may 9, 2010, several months after u.s. lotteries, offer either mega millions or powerball, add other game. mega millions plays $1 each; megaplier, $2. jackpots begin @ $15 million.

powerball

powerball jackpots begin @ $40 million (annuitized), , increase @ least $10 million if not won. games cost $2 each; power play, $3. there 9 prize levels; second prize $1,000,000 (cash) in $2 game; if power play selected, $2,000,000.
