the city hired corp inc. $1.54 million build reedville creek park in june 2002, construction beginning month. hillsboro estimated park completed end of year. mid-november concrete ramps @ park had been installed. in february 2003, park , skatepark opened. funds pay park collected city’s development charges.


the opening of park attracted skateboarders around portland metropolitan area. skatepark first 1 in hillsboro park. summer city built fence between basketball courts , skatepark. since opening park has hosted events such safety fair in 2004, annual skateboarding camps, tennis camp held national junior tennis league in 2007, , park clean-up event organized solv included removal of non-native species reedville creek held in may 2008.


when skatepark @ reedville creek opened, skateboarders allowed use skatepark. in june 2010, city started 90-day trial period people riding bicycles , scooters allowed use skatepark well. hillsboro made change permanent in october of year.
