in 1972, rubin @ again, time in miami beach organize protests both republican , democratic conventions. time, local community knew yippies coming , organized behind rubin of own, ellis rubin, known attorney. on june 4, 1972, rubins debated @ unitarian church in miami, in front of 500 highly charged churchgoers on both sides of issue, divided church aisle. jerry began debate thanking uncle ellis invitation debate. ellis, not related jerry feigned disgust @ association , event on . after barbs in both directions, ended abruptly when jerry famously dropped f-bomb , ellis took leave lead locals out in protest of own.


rubin interviewed journalist dorothy fuldheim book it. in interview, rubin started quiz fuldheim, asking if drank. referred police pigs, offended fuldheim, replied, ve got shock you. of friends policemen . rubin muttered well, ve got shock you. m friends black panthers. @ this, fuldheim threw book , kicked rubin off set saying out! stop interview cameras rolled.
