on 7 september 2012, harry arrived @ camp bastion in southern afghanistan part of 100-strong 662 squadron, 3 regiment, army air corps, begin four-month combat tour co-pilot , gunner apache helicopter. on 10 september, within days of arriving in afghanistan, reported taliban threatened life. taliban spokesman zabiullah mujahid spoke reuters , quoted saying; using our strength rid of him, either killing or kidnapping, , have informed our commanders in helmand whatever can eliminate him.


it announced on 21 january 2013 harry returning 20-week deployment in afghanistan, served apache co-pilot/gunner.


on 8 july 2013, ministry of defence announced harry had qualified apache aircraft commander.
