this corn mill rebuilt in 1850s, , has overshot waterwheel. james elstone miller in 1881. mill working commercially until late 1970s. in 2008, 2 planning applications made conversion of mill residential use retaining main machinery. first approved tunrbidge wells borough council, second application including 7 new houses rejected. revised application submitted in december 2009. objections raised kent mills society , society protection of ancient buildings.
