bonnyrigg has fierce rivalry croatian backed sydney united. 2 clubs first met in state leagues in late 1970s sydney croatia dominating of games between 2 clubs. avala , croatia met in ampol cup semi final in 1977 in avala defeated croatia 1 goal nil. last time 2 clubs meet in 1983 croatia being promoted national soccer league , avala remaining in state leagues.


after demise of national soccer league in 2005 new south wales premier league formed pitting arch rivals bonnyrigg , sydney united. first game played @ sydney united sports centre in bonnyrigg won, winner coming young milorad simonović


the second clash between united , bonnyrigg moved parramatta stadium due crowd violence. eagles took game out 4 goals one. bonnyrigg demoted winter super league due fan violence , not meet sydney united again until 2009.

blacktown , bonnyrigg long time rivals history of both teams dating 1970s first met. avala met blacktown in 1992 grand final took out 2 goals nil. clubs meet again in 1998 grand final in demons take out.
