the circuit, designed german track designer hermann tilke, run clockwise. start line planned located next ny waterway ferry terminal, pits , paddock located between ferry terminal , port imperial boulevard. first sector of circuit run along hudson river waterfront walkway, designed allow cars race through port imperial before climbing hudson palisades along pershing road. circuit follow boulevard east north donnelly memorial park turn right , descend hillside avenue hairpin turn adjacent west new york sewage treatment plant. circuit return south ferry terminal via port imperial boulevard. elevation change port imperial palisades, 150 feet (46 meters), give circuit 1 of greatest elevation changes on calendar.
although circuit pass residential areas, residents not cut off homes; organizers plan provide access 7 affected residences. organizers further plan fund race without public money.
