the song black knight s work co-written emma bull , science fiction , fantasy writer, john m. ford. dave stenshoel (fiddle) , robin anders (additional percussion), both members of band boiled in lead, appeared on way travel guest musicians.


the album featured cover art editor , author terri windling, depicting band members , vehicle known catmobile used transport band. vehicle, owned brust, cadillac ambulance had been painted yellow, light blue, , dark blue, murals.


critical reception

according allmusic reviewer richard foss, original tunes on way travel inventive might expected of band 2 highly original poets , novelists aboard... s hard listen disc without pang of regret cats laughing didn t stay while longer , record few more albums. foss pointed album s sophisticated, complex arrangements of sorts of music , bringing sense of character , purpose spanned multiple genres.
