there no ban on muslim clothing items. first article of political constitution of united mexican states protects people against discrimination based on several matters including religion, ethnic origin , national origin. article 6 of constitution grants libertad de expresión (freedom of expression) mexicans includes way people choose dress.


the muslim community minority; according pew forum on religion , public life there 3,700 muslims in mexico of 2010, representing 0.003 percent of total population. there complete lack of knowledge of islam in mexico, , interest more out of curiosity , tolerance hatred or racism. muslims suggest easier fit in if lax rules of religion, example wearing regular clothing. muslim women s clothing can vary non-muslim clothing hijab or chador.
