sigma sagittarii (σ sgr) ( nunki ) constellation s second-brightest star @ magnitude 2.08. nunki b2v star approximately 260 light years away. nunki babylonian name of uncertain origin, thought represent sacred babylonian city of eridu on euphrates, make nunki oldest star name in use.
