the judiciary of abia state consists of 11 departments , judicial service commission statutory duties includes promotion , appointment of judicial staffs. 1 of co-equal arms of abia state government vested constitutional power interpret , make laws. headed chief judge of abia state, appointed abia state governor through approval of abia state house of assembly.


levels of court

the abia state courts consist of 3 levels of court through respective judges or magistrates perform law-related functions. high court determines case hear while other levels of court include customary courts –which presided on chairman , 2 other court judges– , magistrates.
