responding query pachins, russia-based coach nina mozer suggested tryout between ekaterina alexandrovskaya , windsor in moscow. 2 began skating in december 2015. observing tryout, coaches believed skaters make match due similar technique , body types.


alexandrovskaya released russia after request australian skating association, mozer.


2016–2017 season

during season, alexandrovskaya/windsor coached pachins in sydney , andrei hekalo , nina mozer in moscow. international debut came in september 2016 @ junior grand prix (jgp) in ostrava, czech republic. ranked 6th in short program , 9th in free skate, pair finished 8th overall. later month, 2 competed @ jgp event in tallinn, estonia. awarded gold medal ahead of 3 russian pairs after placing third in short , first in free. finished first substitutes jgp final in marseille, france.


alexandrovskaya/windsor made senior debut in october 2016 @ challenger series event, finlandia trophy; placed sixth , obtained minimum technical scores compete @ senior-level isu championships. in december, pair placed 5th in france @ jgp final, called replacements russia s ekaterina borisova / dmitry sopot. windsor tore patella tendon in january 2017. following month, pair competed in gangneung, south korea @ 2017 4 continents championships, finishing 11th.


in march, alexandrovskaya/windsor competed @ 2017 world junior championships in taipei, taiwan. ranked third in short program , second in free skate, finished first overall, outscoring silver medalists, aleksandra boikova / dmitrii kozlovskii of russia, 2.05 points. became first skaters representing australia win gold @ 1 of isu figure skating championships , first finish on podium @ junior worlds since 1976, when elizabeth cain / peter cain took pairs bronze medal.


2017–2018 season

in september, alexandrovskaya/windsor finished fourth @ 2017 jgp in riga, latvia. later in month, competed @ 2017 cs nebelhorn trophy, final qualifying opportunity 2018 winter olympics. ranked fourth in short program , third in free skate, won first senior international medal, bronze. result allowed them become first australian pair skaters compete @ olympics since danielle carr / stephen carr s appearance @ 1998 winter olympics.


in october, alexandrovskaya/windsor placed first in both segments @ jgp event in gdańsk, poland; awarded gold medal , qualified jgp final in nagoya, japan.
