akhilesh tiwari, president of brahman ekta sanstha in mumbai, filed written complaint @ sakinaka police station on 2 february 2015 alleged use of filthy , abusive language in aib knockout. mumbai police initiated inquiry complaint against participants, ranging bollywood film-maker karan johar actors arjun kapoor , ranveer singh. edited video of event uploaded on youtube on 28 january 2015, covering event held on december 28. government of maharashtra ordered inquiry against event organizers , participants.


bollywood actor aamir khan criticized group s roast event. said ‘i believe in freedom of speech creative persons have understand have responsibility towards society.’ in response anurag kashyap posted link on facebook page showing khan defending dk bose song movie delhi belly, film khan produced. khan had said, have informed audiences adult film. please not go kids , have problem kind of language shouldn t come either. try best inform audiences before-hand. can decide themselves. if audience adult, can decide themselves. end these things fans. aib had provided statutory warning @ beginning of video describing 18+ offensive nature of content of video. ensure people message, made ‘roast master’ karan johar repeat warning.
