the class designed city rail link in mind, extend underground operation of 57 units , future suburban stock considerably. @ has been looking possibility of experimental bemu (battery emu) caf operate services between papakura , pukekohe interim measure prior electrifying nimt between 2 stations. thought 13 2-car bemu required (allowing either 6x 3-car bemu per hour or 3x 6-car bemu 1 spare).
