resignation

on november 3, 2006, facing impending expulsion vote, ney resigned house of representatives letter of resignation speaker of house dennis hastert.


sentencing

he sentenced 30 months in prison. on january 19, 2007, ney sentenced 30 months in prison, pay $6,000 fine , 200 hours of community service. on orders of judge ellen huvalle, ney reported federal correctional institution, morgantown in morgantown, west virginia on march 1, 2007. shared space in prison former survivor star richard hatch, morgantown inmate serving 51 months failing pay taxes.


after prison

he released on august 15, 2008 after serving 17 months. after prison term ney required on probation 2 years, pay fine of $6,000, , undergo counseling.


as of sept 18, 2008, former congressman ney working talk radio news service. gave interview on marc bernier show on radio station wfhg-fm on date , host titled him bob ney, of talk radio news service .


in april 2009, ney started bob ney radio show, talk show on west virginia radio station wvly (am).
