galápagos fur seals smallest of otariids. have grayish brown fur coat. adult males of species average 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) in length , 64 kg (141 lb) in mass. females average 1.2 m (3 ft 11 in) in length , 28 kg (62 lb) in mass. spend more time out of water other seal. on average, 70% of time spent on land. seal species spend 50% of time on land , 50% in water.
