on 17 september, hong kong observatory issued standby signal no.1 outer bands of vicente brought showers , thunderstorms hong kong. signal dropped next day storm moved away hong kong. red flags hoisted @ numerous beaches due rough seas.

ahead of storm, 9,000 residents evacuated inland while others worked protect thousands of dykes along shore.


thailand

in anticipation of severe flooding in capital city of bangkok, 2,000 water pumps , 1.7 million sandbags sent prevent significant flooding , minimize flooding nearby rivers. large forklift trucks sent ten stations set around city assist large trucks might run trouble during storm. additional 130 smaller forklifts provided assist smaller vehicles. total of 7 million sandbags stockpiled use around country.
