the flora antarctica contains large number of liverwort species auckland , campbell islands, @ time assigned genus jungermannia. of 82 species mentioned in flora antarctica, 79 have since been reassigned other genera in jungermanniales. hooker credits scientists in cryptogamic botany department, thomas taylor, expertise , cooperation in preparing sections on mosses, liverworts , lichens. species published under common authorship indicated hook.f & taylor. has been omitted in section brevity. authors not indicated type species have later been transferred genus while retaining original species epithet, because authority appears in new combination between brackets. other author (combinations) indicated though.
