he moved danish west indies , in 1821, sold house in hellerup. when father died in 1823 on st. croix, inherited 2 plantations, constitution hill , høgensborg. in 1735, when peter von scholten appointed governor general, took on position governor of st. thomas. introduced first steam mill in danish west indies on plantation høgensborg.
