in 1994, capaldi , winwood reunited traffic new album, far home, , tour, including performance @ woodstock 94 festival. same year, winwood appeared on tribute curtis mayfield cd, recording mayfield s s right .


in 1995 , 1996, winwood released reach light animated film balto. in 1997, winwood released new album, junction seven, toured , sang chaka khan @ vh-1 honors.


in 1998, winwood joined tito puente, arturo sandoval, ed calle , other musicians form band latin crossings european tour, after split without making recordings. winwood appeared in film blues brothers 2000, member of louisiana gator boys, appearing on stage isaac hayes, eric clapton, , koko taylor @ battle of bands competition.


in 2003, winwood released new studio album, time on new record label, wincraft music. 2004 saw 1982 song valerie used eric prydz in song called call on me. spent 5 weeks @ no. 1 on uk singles chart. winwood heard version of prydz s remix , liked much, not gave permission use song, re-recorded samples prydz use.


in 2005, soundstage performances dvd released, featuring recent work time album along prior hits including in high life. winwood performed hits days traffic current recordings. in 2005, accepted invitation 2008 grammy award winner ashley cleveland appear on album men , angels say.


this album of rock, blues , country arrangements of known hymns includes need thee every hour —which features vocal duet , organ performance. christina aguilera features winwood (using piano , organ instrumentation john barleycorn track, glad ) on 1 of songs 2006 record basics, called makes me wanna pray.

in may 2007, winwood performed in support of pro-fox hunting organisation countryside alliance in concert @ highclere castle, joining fellow rock artists bryan ferry, eric clapton, steve harley , kenney jones.


in july 2007, winwood performed clapton in latter s crossroads guitar festival. among songs played presence of lord , can t find way home blind faith days. winwood played several guitar leads in six-song set. 2 continued collaboration 3 sold-out nights @ madison square garden in new york city in february 2008.


on 19 february 2008, winwood , clapton released collaborative ep through itunes titled dirty city. clapton , winwood released cd , dvd of madison square garden shows , toured in summer of 2009.
