traditionally assiniboine semi-nomadic people. during warmer months, followed , hunted herds of bison. women processed , preserved meat winter, , used hides, tendons, , horns clothing, bedding, tools, cord , other items. every part of animal used people. men hunted on horseback using bow , arrows. tribe known excellent horsemanship. first obtained horses trading blackfeet , gros ventre tribes. worked mandan, hidatsa, , arikara tribes.
