extracurricular activities
academic decathlon

the academic decathlon ten-event competition. every team member competes 10 subjects: mathematics, science, economics, social science, language , literature, fine arts, prepared , impromptu speech, interview, essay , superquiz. each team made of 3 honor students, 3 scholastic students, , 3 varsity students, gpa; honor (3.75-4), scholastic (3-3.75), varsity (0-2.99).


drama/theater

the oehs drama , theatre department puts on 3 main stage shows during each school year: fall play, winter show, , spring musical. recently, have done plays figments, alice in wonderland, , peter pan, earning large amount oswego east theatre department.


interact

the oehs interact club dedicated doing community service , sponsored oswego rotary club.


mathletes

students volunteer in honors math classes. mathletes coach makes final selections. mathletes compete against various schools in math contests in southwest prairie conference.


pom squad

membership freshman, sophomore, junior , senior classes. poms perform @ football , basketball games @ student pep assemblies. there summer clinic , camp students expected participate in increase skills. fundraising activities major aspect of being pom.


robotics team

originally engineering club, gear forward started in 2007. club has since grown attract students both oswego high school , oswego east high school design , create robots through first robotics organization.


scholastic bowl

membership on scholastic bowl team made sponsor of team. students compete in college bowl format of competition against various other schools i.h.s.a. state series.


speech team

speech team open students wish improve public speaking and/or stage skills. competition @ meets consists of areas of oratory, oral declamation, prose, verse, humorous/dramatic interpretation, impromptu, humorous/dramatic duet acting, extemporaneous, radio speaking , original comedy. season runs november through february.


wolfpack news/east t.v. 16

students involved east tv 16 produce morning announcements via live tv hooked oehs classrooms. experiences range floor director, camera operator, videotape playback, video switching, video editing, teleprompting, computer graphics, audio engineering , producing. broadcasting 1 , 2 students ones create of advertisements on east tv.


wolfpack sports fanclub

members of wolfpack sports fan club organized fans @ sporting events high school based athletic events. support sports teams school , prominently represented @ boys basketball , football games. organization formally founded in 2008 @ school.
