the supreme court (chinese: 最高法院; pinyin: zuìgāo fǎyuàn) court of last resort civil , criminal cases. civil case can appealed supreme court when more nt $1,500,000 @ stake. except petty offences enumerated in article 376 of code of criminal procedure, criminal case may appealed court.


this court exercises jurisdiction on following cases:



appeals judgments of high courts or branches courts of first instance in criminal cases;
appeals judgments of high courts or branches courts of second instance in civil , criminal cases;
appeals rulings of high courts or branches;
appeals judgments or rulings rendered civil court of second instance summary procedure, amounts in controversy exceeding nt $1,500,000, , permission granted in accordance specified provisions;
civil , criminal retrials within jurisdiction of court of third instance;
extraordinary appeals; or
any other case specified laws.
