degrassi: next class second incarnation of next generation considered own show. after teennick , mtv canada dropped series, show picked netflix , family channel. reboot of series set fifteenth season of next generation (as casting calls made fifteenth season) netflix , epitome decided start off new show, not confuse new viewers watch on netflix.


season 1 released on netflix january 15, 2016, , started airing january 4, 2016 on family s new teen programming block, f2n. fourteen cast members season 14 of degrassi reprise roles.
